About Us
Saltdean Vegetables is a new venture growing vegetables using natural methods, without using harmful pesticides or fertilisers.
My name is Dave, and I am assisted by my wife Elisabeth.
In season vegetables and microgreens are available for sale with free local delivery every Friday. We aim to harvest to order, and deliver on the same day.
Set in the beautiful South Downs National Park, the vegetables are grown and harvested by hand in our market garden in Piddinghoe.
Mission
Our mission is to grow and deliver fresh vegetables and microgreens to homes and restaurants in Saltdean, Piddinghoe and the surrounding areas.
By delivering directly to households, we can ensure that the produce is handled by one person as opposed to the supermarket option which involves multiple pairs of hands!!
Principles
We are working with the soil association, and on course to complete our two year track record to gain official "organic" status by the end of this year.
All the vegetables we sell will be grown by ourselves. Although this means that our range will be limited to what is in season in the UK, customers can be assured of the source of the vegetables.
